Community
Everyday we see how many people, including children, are affected by severe health problems, such heart disease, diabetes, kidney failure and obesity. It is sad to see the kind of foods children are eating and the damage it is causing them.
Food is a critical part of life, it is the way our body nurtures itself, and the reason why we should pay more attention to what we eat. The big misfortune is that it has become a rushed task performed to keep us moving through the day.
Organizations such Slow Food movement and Share our Strength are trying to create awareness in the community by teaching children and their families how important good food is to good living and the power of food at the table to bring the family together.
At Teacup we strive to provide naturally made sweets, free of transfats and preservatives, we refuse to use artificial flavors or substitutions for fresh ingredients. We believe that sweets can be a good indulgence if made the right way with natural ingredients.
As a part of our fight against childhood obesity, we also volunteer our time and resources to help the mentioned organizations reach their goal in our community.

Teacup is currently working with Ela Family Farms in Hotchkiss, Colorado, using their freshly picked organic fruits, homemade jams, fruit butters and apple cider in our cakes and pastries. Other non-profit foundation supported by Teacup is Kendall and Taylor Atkinson Foundation (KATA), which primary mission is to raise money to find treatments and cure for Fanconi Anemia (FA), a rare blood disease that usually results in bone marrow failure in children.
